Day 1 in Seattle

Good day today so far and have not had dinner yet. Went to Pike Market and the Space Needle today. I got a ton of walking in today too, so I can checkoff exercise today. Took several pictures today and I'll be adding more to this set Thursday and Friday.

This is one of my favorite pics so far...

Waiting on ljtourist to come pick me up for dinner and hang out this evening.

It's great just being in an entirely different place than home for a change.

Oh wow!

I stayed a block up and over from your first picture!

I loved that pi statue, and the sitting areas.

Visiting place like this make some realize how much culture and history is lacking from my current home. Part of me thinks that some people think my pictures are boring, but they are fascinating because I don't have anything like this back home.

Ya know, I am deeply fond of Durham, but I know what you mean; I'm greatly enjoying being in Boston with all of its history. Glad you're having so much fun in Seattle!

I understand completely.

Who cares what others think, you took that picture for you. Sharing it with others was a nice thing to do.

It made my day. :)

Stunning photos, Joe!

Nice to see that you were able to get out and about today. We actually have rain in our forecast for tomorrow. I am in denial, as warm as we've had it lately.

Enjoy your time in Seattle, and thanks for sharing your photos with us :)

G'night,

Cory

Yep, the weather does seem to change on-the-fly and have found the forecasts pretty useless (and not surprising for the climate and terrain here). It was supposed to be just partly cloudy and now there's 50% chance of rain.

Enjoy! And don't you travel for snowboarding? You can't say that you're always</> at home!

Yeah, and I'm hoping I will travel out here more often. My cousin's new boyfriend snowboards, so I'm hoping we can do some trips and get my cousin back out on the slopes too.

I'm still not traveling nearly as much as I would like to.

Great pix, Joe! In #41 & 43, I can spot where my friends live in the Queen Anne Hill neighborhood!
In spite of it's rainy, dreary weather reputation, I've always managed to have beautiful weather whenever I've visted the northwest. Looks like you've had similar luck!

Weather definitely improved. By late afternoon the skies were perfectly clear. Even Mt. Ranier came into view later on.

Glad to hear you are having a good time. You've needed to get away for a while!
