Durham Herald-Sun sucks

I completely forgot about voting this morning. For Durham we just have the Mayor's race, a few city council members and some bonds to vote on. I just figured I would do my usual thing and get on the Durham Herald-Sun web site, go to the "votebook" section and select my candidates based on their responses to some common questions.

I just tried to get at the information and it's all hidden--WTF?!? To get at any significant news articles you have to register with their web site. Hmmm, let me think abo... no. I have to register with a web site that reports on my home town to see articles as they pertain directly to me? Hell, no. Ever since they were taken over (I forget who bought them out) they're site has turned to crap and the entire newspaper it seems.

This is the same one that also keeps delivering a paper to everyone in the city on Saturday whether you want one or not. I need to collect those and dump them on their doorstep one of these days.

Oooh, this is spiffy. Works great so far. Thanks! I'm really starting to appreciate some of the many add-on's available for FireFox. The anti-flash one has been a soo helpful on the 4 year old PowerBook.

I hope you don't mind the random journal add. I'm intrigued.

How dare you post at random to my post!

Fortunately, you look like a good guy and your friends with mikiedoggie. You're added as a friend now. :)

Not a big fan of the Herald since the sale either, but for the record, those Saturday newspapers ("The Durham News") are from The News & Observer.
