Beary Busch Gardens plans

I was looking at some possible dates at getting people from the local area (and up towards DC) for a Beary Busch Gardens in Williamsburg VA. The date of April 5th (Saturday) is looking like a possibility right now. Would be a tad cool (not hot and humid) and early enough in the year before the kiddies get out of school. A single day pass is about $57. If I can organize a group of 15 or more, the cost per person comes down to $49.

Not asking for RSVP's or anything like that yet. Just collecting information and suggestions at this point. I don't want to overlap with some other big event, so let me know it that does. I'll get a post out in the next week or two to get better numbers. In the meantime, save that date on your calendars.

Oh, yeah, the name? Beary Busch Gardens? So, sue me for being dorky. If you have other suggestions, I'm all ears.

Entirely up to you, sweetie. :) We would understand if you could not make it. I would hope you would visit the US for more than just Busch Gardens.

Have you been to the US yet?

I would surely enjoy a longer and more profound stay. Been to the US twice:

Maybe if you also invite kevinsent, he'll promise to grow back his goatee.

Now, now, don't be hatin' the Kevin for shaving off the goatee. he must be loved with or without beard.

(Of course, this has nothing to do with him telling me how cute I was for having a beard or clean shaven. No. Nada.)

Just realized both of these trips were before 9/11. Glad you weren't traveling through during that time. So you had one trip for business and one for pleasure in ATL?

It was nice to speak with you by phone last night. I felt rather comforted at the conclusion of our call and I did awaken today feeling a little less troubled over things, even though resolution still seems a distance away, if there is any to come at all.

I hope to be re-employed by the date you're proposing, as I'd love to join you there (at least it's a shorter distance from where I live than is Raleigh-Durham NC).

Keep in touch. *HUGG*

I'm glad we finally connected on the phone and I'm glad you are feeling better today. I guess I could just help by providing the unbiased view and being objective.

I'm guessing it would still be like 5 hours for you? At least it's mostly and easy drive (all interstate).

G'night, Mr. DJ...

Those who have an affection for the ursine are always invited. Even you, sweetie. :)

Greetings from Norfolk.

I'm sure some bears and non-bears from Norfolk/Virginia Beach could be arranged. Busch Gardens has never hosted a gay day, to my knowledge, but maybe it's about time.

Anheuser-Busch Companies Inc. scores a perfect 100% according to the HRC, so definitely gay friendly (and I assumed so). Would be cool if they did that, but I think we'll manage getting our own little group together. :)

I think usually gay days are organized by the gay community, not by the park anyway. It's just a matter of, in the Internet age, spreading the word.

Sounds like a great idea, Joe. It's just a little to far for a weekend getaway from California. Maybe I could convince work that it was a job related trip ;)

G'night,
