Woke up to snow Monday morning!

We woke up to snowfall yesterday morning! It was only a few inches, but it ended up snowing all day long to get another few inches (more at the top). Really good conditions during the morning where there was some light powder to plow through, but it started to get above freezing at the base (still snowing) making it a bit of a mess. The really wet snow would just stick to my goggles and it was like spring conditions below.

Here is one fabulous picture that Eric took yesterday...

After lunch we headed back up to the top where conditions got a bit tricky. I headed up to the peak of Whistler and it was crazy up there. It's above the tree line, well into the clouds, snow still falling and nasty wind on the top. The fog/clouds were so thick the visibility down to about 100'. I got lost and went down the wrong trail, but it was one I wanted to go down. It's called Peak to Creek and it does exactly that. It's a blue run that goes from the peak to the bottom. It's 3.3km and it took me 15-20 minutes to make it all the way down. Damn did I feel the burn in my legs on that run. Halfway down I had to take off my glove liners, open my helmet and jacket vents and take some breathers to cool off.

Woke up to clear skies this morning, so we're looking forward to taking some beautiful pictures and being able to actually see where we are going for a change. I'm still enjoying my time with pharmbear, Duane and Eric and will miss them when I need to start back home in a few days. Their witty, sarcastic humor is the best and we all take great fun at making fun of each other every single minute.

Great photo! Are non-bearded people allowed on the slopes? I could seriously get into this kinda sport... :-)
