Stormy back at home?

Received tons of SMS messages on my phone this evening with all of the severe weather alerts back home. Looks like it was an afternoon and evening full of thunderstorms and heavy rain. Was looking at the radar earlier and noticed multiple lines of storms trailing over Durham. Just checked my rain gauge on my home weather station and it recorded 2.06" of rain for Tuesday--wow! Have not seen that much rain on the rain gauge in a very long time. My weather station is still sending updates indicating my home, network and power survived it all.

Everyone OK back home?

Things are hunky-dory. The rain was a godsend. There were a few torrential downpours with some strong wind, but the rain was pretty constant and heavy for a couple of hours, at least.
Glad you're having a good time. I want to stowaway next time!

Good amount of rain. Some strong winds as the trashcans and recylce bins were spread around the neighborhood with a decent amount of randomness. Power went out several times. Yay for my 4 UPS that all functioned correctly this time. :)

Lucky duck, I wanna hit the slopes...

There was a ton of rain last night as your rain gauge told you, a big chunk of tree fell down near my house (missed the fence by like 3-4 feet).

Oh yeah, you should be proud of your former squadron. We won the wing color guard competition this past weekend. I'll send you a link to the video my bro made.

We had some rain in West Durham and some wind but no damage at all! (knocking on my wooden noggin!).

Yeah we had some good amounts of rain off of Edwards Mill Road, some branches down, but nothing serious. Lake level rose a foot. Glad you have enjoyed vacation
