Saturday I was up bright and early for the training at CAP Wing Headquarters (state headquarters located in Burlington, NC). Every cadet activity that is 4 nights or longer requires a training program for all staff (cadet staff and senior members) to review RST (Required Staff Training). It's essentially a PowerPoint presentation on preventing hazing and using ORM (Operational Risk Management) to ensure safety. It was about 2-3 hours total, so not too bad. Got home and was tired. I don't even remember what I did last night besides wash clothes.
Sunday I got up early again and headed out a good, long bike ride on the ATT--17 miles. After I came back I went to mowing the lawn and yard cleanup. Then I had to fix my mountain bike tire that went completely flat since the last trip. Found the leak, patched it and it should be good to go for the next ride. Had a great lunch with Dad for Fathers Day, but Dad had to go right back to work for some emergency there. :(
Not looking forward to this week. I have two days of training (entire division) that came up at the last minute. So, there goes two days of trying to get anything much done at work. Wednesday is already booked with lots of meetings. Thursday I have blocked out so that I can wrap things up before I take off Friday morning for Cherry Point Marine Corps Air Station for encampment. I'll write a separate entry on that shortly to explain what that's all about in CAP. I won't return until 28 June after that.
Off to bed as my head hurts and ibuprofen is having no effect--not a good sign.
