Dentist geekery

Just got back from the dentist (just a check-up, all good) and I was impressed with their latest technology now. I was due for x-rays this time. All they do now is insert a device in your mouth that's attached to the PC. Thsi device replaces the film they would normally use. It uses the same x-ray emitter(?), but only for a fraction of a second. The x-ray image is on the PC screen in 2 seconds. No film, no waiting and very tiny amounts of x-ray exposure. Pretty cool.

Neat! If you brought in a flash drive, would they give you copies to post on the Internet? :-)

I had a checkup a couple of months ago but it was film tab per usual.

Yeah, I had digital X-rays in my semiannual checkup last month. Cool.

I think my dentist went with this sometime last year. I had a checkup a few months ago, and it was the second time she used this technology with me.
