The weather is turning the corner

We had some good thunderstorms (nothing severe here compared to further west of here) for the first time in months I think. It was great dozing off to sleep last night with the rain coming down and thunder of in the distance.

I just looked at the forecast--80's Thursday through Sunday--wow! That will be very different and a great way to go into a holiday weekend.

Yeah, we had a tornado warning here in Charlotte. One of the shutters blew off my upstairs windows (and is not sitting in my front yard) and I was without internet all night as well :(

Just saw the evening news. High Point got hit pretty hard as well. I think there was more damage to the north of us here.

My only question when I saw what the temp will be was "what happened to spring?!"

It seems like spring never sticks around long. When we warm up, it's like a race. I do wish the 70's would stick around for awhile. Local TV weather is calling for 88 by Friday?!?

HEY! GIVE IT BACK!!!!!

Aside from one week in mid-December (where we had our coldest week on record) the rest of winter has been well above normal here in Portland. Now the temperatures have dropped to "typical" winter (January/early February) levels again. IT IS COLD AND WET OUT!!!! Here it is 1:00pm and only 38 out! Even threatened to snow a couple of hours ago. Mt. Hood is due to get around 3 feet of snow out of this storm, the largest snow accumulation from one storm this entire winter season.
