Happy New Year and rambling

Yeah, I know, a bit late. Just needed a break from the internet for a few days. Spent a lot of time with my niece and nephew and other family members over the weekend. One of the coolest things was getting to play Dance Dance Revolution with the kids. I like it even more for me. :) You can get a great workout from this thing! Still have crummy dance pads and still arguing that over with the lousy eBay seller and hope to resolve soon (sent wrong version, and they were used (not new, as promised)).

Looked through how to use my new little goodies from Christmas: rice cooker, crock pot, nice new towels and other little things. Trying to figure out how to make some cool dishes with my new crock pot in particular. Sort of strikes me as a lazy man's way of cooking--perfect.

Got lots going on at work with some major maintenance coming up this Thursday evening. Only three days to plan a move from one set of load balancers to another newer version and no great way to test all of this stuff. There will definitely be some trial and error come Thursday evening.

Looking forward to getting my new 20" iMac at work as it replaces the PC. However, it's been pushed back week after week by Apple. They're finally shipping it now starting around the 27th of Dec, but there's been no update by FedEx, so no idea when it will really get here (been ordered since the 15th).

Resolutions: move to Denver, make new friends, find a a real guy to be with and snowboard my ass off.

Happy new year, bud! I just had this image of you playing DDR in my head, hehe. I love that game and actually own several editions myself. It's less fun when you have crappy dance pads and a slippery floor as I do, so the mat moves from under you while dancing. Ugh.

Images of Joe thrashing wildly about his living room are still amusing in my head. I'm sure it won't be nearly as funny once I see the game in person. But perhaps if I'm lucky it still will be a source of a good laugh. :)

So happy I could amuse, Mr. Dave. Until I see you on that dance pad, then you are really in no position to comment on this anway.

I must admit, picturing Dave on playing DDR, oh, my..., now that would be funny.
