Plane ride was rather uneventful, so that was good. I ALWAYS underestimate how long it will take me to pack and ended up scrambling to get out the door to make the flight on time. Some confusion in ORD where there was a last minute gate change and confusing information on the flight display screens.

As soon as I get to SEA I'm whisked away by Eric and Duane to go out to Duane's moms house in Tacoma that overlooks Commencement Bay. We did a lot of walking around near the water where a big street fair was taking place. We did the whole cookout thing and then watched multiple fireworks displays in different directions happening simultaneously. The main one for Tacoma was right over the water. It was chilly though with temperatures in the 50's and a stiff breeze.

We finally got home around midnight PDT which meant I had been up for literally 21 hours, so I was pretty much dead and slept like a baby for 8 hours. Eric even mentioned there were some huge neighborly firecrackers at 0130, but I never heard it which is weird. I'm sure I was just that tired.

This morning we're just being lazy and that's a good thing. Nice to know I'll be here for 9 days ensuring there is no rush to get lots of things done before I have to go--nice leisurely pace.

Starting this afternoon the sun is supposed to come out for the rest of the week and no chance of rain with temperatures getting into the low 80's, so awesome weather on the way here in Seattle.

Wow, you picked the right week of the year to come to Seattle! Best weather we've had all year.
