Harris Lake Park and not overdoing it

Hit the Harris Lake Park to day for some more single track. The parking area near the trails was packed. I've never seen so many people. Not surprising as it as 72°F (22° above normal). Trail was a bit muddy, but not too bad. I won't bother washing the bike until after I go riding tomorrow.

Using this new heart rate monitor has been very enlightening. It was so easy to reach 90% of my heart rate and I was not struggling that hard. I had the alarm set at that point so I would just keep dialing it back until I came down some. I think of how hard I've been pushing in the past and I was likely pushing way beyond my limits. Before I used to feel like I had just been beat up after riding. Now I still have energy left and my body feels pretty normal. Need to learn to live within the means of what my body can handle and using this heart rate monitor is a good start.

I biked yesterday on the American Tobacco Trail (lots of people again) and plan on hitting one of the other single-track parks tomorrow.
