I'm pretty much done with work and there's nothing for me to do until I return on the 29th. I head out to Steamboat Springs, Colorado Monday morning and come back the following Saturday. Mom and Dad are coming along for this trip. I did have someone else coming with me, but they had to backout due to work and other conflicts. So, here I go snowboarding alone. Again. While I love snowboarding, I hate going alone all of the time.

There's such a huge conflict with this sport for me and where I live. If I want to do it that much, I'm in the wrong place. I need friends who also love/like to snowboard. That is not going to happen here in North Carolina. Hobbies are so much better when you have someone to SHARE them with. With my driving school stuff, there are lots of people to share experiences with and it naturally involves a large number of people at the events who are as passionate as you are.

I'm thinking of going to the Outboard event, but it's back in Steamboat again. I've been a few years since I've been to it now. May try to hit up my cousin in Seattle and she if she wants to try snowboarding again.

I should be excited, but I'm just going around in circles today trying to start getting my gear together and figure out what to do next. Just feel like I'm in a rut or something. Not depressed, but not having fun either.

If I can stowaway in your luggage, I volunteer to go with ya!
BTW, I can't snowboard (don't even ski that well!) but willing to try :)

Have a wonderful trip!

How'd you get into snowboarding, snowboardjoe? It's not something I've ever done, but I can imagine wanting to give it a shot pretty easily... though Georgia is not the ideal place to learn, obviously!
