Solitude

We headed off to Solitude (just a mile or two away from Brighton) and it turned out pretty good. Snowed much of the day and took a few pictures. Will try to post tomorrow. Too tired to post now.

Slope conditions were a bit crudier than Brighton, but found some powder to make me happy though. Lunch was a big challenge with the limited dining facilities. It was cold too as we were located near the door--a motion activated door that everyone was always standing in front of and was closed only about 5% of the time (brilliant design)--that kept it quite chilly. That set me up bad for after lunch as I went back outside with all of my clothes still a bit damp from perspiring either. I was really cold on the first run or two and then I started to warm up.

Finally got into a canyon called Honeycomb Canyon. It's a huge canyon with a variety of chutes, trees and less complicated stuff if one chooses. Found more knee deep powder in some pockets and not a crowd in site anywhere (hence, the name, Solitude).

We have not decided where to go for Tuesday yet. We head back Wednesday afternoon.
